TEMPLES OF TOBOLSK
In the middle of XIX century 15-20 thousand people lived in Tobolsk and there were 28 churches, chapels, a Catholic church, a mosque, a synagogue here.
Now there are 5 functioning temples, a Catholic church and a mosque. Each of them has its own fate, story and original architecture, connection with famous citizences of Tobolsk. There the most esteemed wonder working icons and shrines with relicts of the Siberian Saint –Iohan Tobolskiy.
