SKIING RESORT ABZAKOVO

Abzakovo is one of the most beautiful corners of the South Urals and it has long been the favourite recreation place of Magnitogorsk citizens. Lately its popularity has grown significantly due to the wonderful mountain-skiing complex. ThSouth Urals are often compared to Switzeland. Now this comparision can fully be attributed not only to the nature but also to the level and quality of active recreation. Mountain skng is one of the most popular and prestigious winter pastimes. That is why there are always plenty of people on Abzakovo tracks. Not only Magnitogorsk citizens prefer having rest here now. Skiing

Health and sport complex "Abzakovo" has skiing tracs of all catgories, including slalom and giant slalom tracks that have FIS certificates; it provides for skiing without waiting in lines. Snowpressing machines prepare the tracks. There is gear rental.Wonderful conditions for teaching children to ski have been created. Beginners can use the services of experienced instructors.
"Night skiing" organized twice a week on well-lit tracks will give you remarkab impressions. The new system of artificial snow-covering enables to avoid whims of nature and prolong the skiing season. Those who favour other winter sports can spend their time on the skating rink, biathlon grounds or cross-country skiing track, ride snowmobiles or horse-driven carriages. For several decades Abzakovo has attracted not only those who like active winter rest but professional sportsmen as well. Here they organize annual training and rehabilitation assemblies of Russian skiing, biathlon and mountain skiing teams and numerous sports festivals. Mountain skiing tracs built according to the international standards allow to hold competitions of various ranks. There is gear rental in this mountain skiing center. Here works the first in Russia system of snow-covering based on HKD - Tatrapoma technology, that includes 8 snow-producing installations. Owing to this length of skiing season has extended (from the beining of November to the beginning of November to the beginning of May).

Computerized admission system with plastic cards and turnstiles allows any skier to regulate the number of elevations during the day, visit or season (the information about using elevators for each card is stored in computer memory during the hole season).
Six modernelevators with the output of 4000 people per hour provide for skiing without waiting in lines.
