On the 6th of June the first direct charter flight between Irkutsk-Changchun was opened
The international charter flight between Irkutsk-Changchun was opened today in Irkutsk. Now the passengers wishing to reach the province of Tszilin in China can do it without transfer and for two hours and a half. Flights which «China Southern Airlines» carries out, will be made two times a week. Aircraft airbus -319 that works on this line is new for Irkutsk airport, for this very reason transportations on the flight Irkutsk-Changchun will be charter meanwhile but then it is planned to make them regular. As the general director of FGUP «Airport-Irkutsk» Aleksey Kulikov said, this is already the sixth line making transportations to China but in future it will be more: «Since the airport of Irkutsk is international a new flight, new direction opening is necessary for us, and the first direct flight to the province of Tszilin will stimulate and develop the airport ". «We are glad to open new gates of friendship, - commented the event the deputy governor of Irkutsk region Sergey Voronov, - the flight will allow your and our people (i.e. to the residents of Russia and C.P.R. - ed.) to be friends, to do business, to combine efforts in order to make friendship stronger». The first passengers ( representatives of the province ) have already tested the flight when arrived to the grand opening. One of them - the governor of the province of Tszilin Van Min - also noted the necessity of this flight as for the Irkutsk businessmen, so for their Chinese colleagues. V otpusk.RU
