Goose museum is opened on the eve of town anniversary in Gus-Khrustalny

Goose museum was opened on the eve of the 250-th anniversary of the town of Gus-Khrustalny (Vladimir region) where glass «Classic goose» from town arms became the first exhibit. As ITAR-TASS reports, about 200 exhibits of the museum are versions of the «Classic goose» made of wood, crystal, glass and stone. The city of Gus-Khrustalny was founded by the merchant Akim Maltsov who built there a crystal plant in 1756, 250 kilometers to the east of Moscow on the river Gus. Now 72 000 people live in the town. The Gusevskiy crystal plant is the most important domestic enterprise manufacturing commercial and art glass. The town celebrates its anniversary on June 17. More and more original museums appear in Russia. Thus there is a museum of irons in Yaroslavl and a museum of bee in Rostov. ITAR-TASS: Travel.Ru
