Russian air taxi project will be launched on July 15
«Dexter» air taxi will start carrying out regular flights in Russia on July 15, 2006. As reports the press- service of Dexter, at the first stage flights will be carried out on routes Moscow - Nizhniy Novgorod, Moscow - Yaroslavl, Nizhniy Novgorod - Kazan, Nizhniy Novgorod - Samara and Kazan - Samara. Today there are 6 Dexter aircrafts M101T in the park. By the end of the year it is planned to make it 15 aircrafts M101T. In the long-term outlook the aircraft park of the project shall grow to 150 aircrafts that makes it possible to connect about 300 pairs of cities which do not have through air service now. Light six-seater turboprop aircraft M-101T with the engine Walter M 601F-32 – is the only aircraft certified in RF in the class of small aviation (upto 12 seats). The aircraft is designed in Myasishchev’s development design office and manufactured at the Nizhniy-Novgorod aircraft factory «Sokol». Maximum flight altitude - is more than 7 thousand meters. The aircraft is equipped with integrated anti-icing system, with flight navigation instrument and communication systems providing the possibility to carry out flights under any meteorological conditions at any time. M-101T in the course of tests proved compliance with the standards of airworthiness AP-23 and FAR-23. The company of Dexter air taxi is set up for the purpose of making a national system of direct air traffics in Russia up to the distance of 1 thousand km between the communities where through air service is irregular or absent. Basic investors of the Dexter project are: the group of companies «Industrial investors», the aerospace holding «Kaskol» and the International Finance Corporation (IFC, the investment subdivision of the World Bank).
