Monument to commander Vitus Behring will be set up in Tobolsk
It will become a sightseeing attraction of a new tourist route which will pass through Tobolsk city from Zhukovsky grove to upland part of the Kremlin, and from Pryamsky Vzvoz to Bazarnaya Square. Press Service of the administration of Tobolsk city reported that preliminary work on the new tourist route design has been completed. In the long-range plans there is reconstruction of Tobolsk pier which will supplement the first pedestrian route. Its total length is about 4, 5 km. Repair- restoration and improvement works, roads renovation and reconstruction of utility networks will cost about 820 mln. rubles. Furthermore, the first tourist pedestrian route will provide approximately 400 additional jobs. Provisional return from services with the forecasted tourist attendance of up to 250 thousand persons per year will amount to 350 mln. rubles. AN Tyumen Line.
