House-museum of the Romanovs will appear in Tobolsk
Tobolsk, Tyumen Region. House-museum of the Romanovs tsarist family can appear in Tobolsk in the nearest future. City administration will move into the building of a former garrison hospital, a monument of architecture, after its restoration and administration of the Tobolsk region will replace them thus vacating the house where the last emperor of Russia’s family was exiled before execution in Ekaterinburg. In the historic building of the former Tobolsk governors where after the establishment of the Soviet regime in Siberia the circuit, city and then district authorities were located, a museum will be founded, dedicated to Nikolai II Romanov and his family’s stay in this house. The royal prisoners spent almost 9 months in «Tobolsk imprisonment»: from August 1917 to April 1918. The most interesting for tourists object will allow the first Siberian capital to pretend to participation in international program of the 400th anniversary celebration of the Romanovs's house planned for 2013. Now in the former «House of freedom» as the Bolsheviks called it, the only beyond the Urals office-museum of Nikolai II is opened. Viktor Gorokhov. www.t-l.ru
