Tatarstan’s «Pearl necklace» will complement to the «Golden Ring of Russia»
A new route on historic regions and large cities of republic is developed in Tatarstan. It is planned that the route called «Pearl necklace» will pass through Bulgar, Raifa, Chistopol, Kamskoye Ustye, Elabuga, Naberezhnye Chelny, Bilyar, Kazan. With the aid of the «Pearl necklace» authorities of the region expect to increase substantially revenues from tourism. The route will be developed and offered for tour operators soon. The authorities do not exclude that the route «Pearl necklace» can be offered as an addition to the popular «Golden Ring of Russia». However, not all tour operators evaluate optimistically the new route prospects. In the opinion of some representatives of tourist agencies Tatarstan is not ready to receive foreign tourists – there is lack of good roads and hotels in republic.
