Russia heads for visa-free travel


Vladimir Putin confirmed that Russia together with European partners will attain visa-free regime. The President of RF named a purpose at the meeting with German business community - the establishment of visa-free exchange in Europe. Concerning the severe rules of Schengen agreements, Putin noted that Russian party understands partners in Europe and the whole complexity of tasks they want to solve. According to him, European partners also want visa-free exchange with Russia but they must be sure that Russia reliably protects boundaries against illegal migration, drug trafficing, terrorists and criminal business. The President said that Russia works in this direction. He emphasized that it requires time and enormous financial resources. He noted that there were safe borders in the USSR, after the dissipation of the Soviet Union new states were formed. Russia cannot guarantee the borders security of the new states. RIA-Novosti
