Russia and Belorussia – unified migration card
Since November 1 Russia and Belorussia will have unified migration card. It will be filled in by foreign citizens and stateless persons on entry to Russia or Belorussia from the third state territory. Until now, in spite of actual absence of borders between two states, the migration card was issued only in Russia. It placed in a difficult position foreigners travelling from Belorussia to Russia. New system will eliminate this problem - it will be possible to stay legally in Russia with the migration card issued in Belorussia and vice versa. Transition period will last till January 1 during which the migration cards of old pattern will be valid. Foreigners, having arrived in Belorussia till November 1, are not obliged to have migration cards. Travel.Ru
