Rooms in hotels of Moscow are the most expensive in the world according to a study, published on October 27. The rooms in Russian capital cost on the average 167 pounds per night during the period between April and June of this year - and this is 28% less than during the same period of the last year. The second is New York with mean price 140 pounds that is16% more than in the past year according to the data of web site Hotels.com. Other three American cities also proved to be the most expensive - Boston (135 pounds per night on the average), Chicago (125 pounds) and Washington (118 pounds). And this is in spite of favorable exchange rate of almost 2 dollars for pound. London is a good example for comparison with the mean price 91 pounds per night. Venice was the most expensive city in Western Europe (123 pounds per night). The study is based on actual, not on advertised prices paid by customers in 20000 hotels in 1000 cities of the world.
