An exhibition "Great way" in historic museum comprised in one hall the whole 107 years history and a vast geography of Russian Railway Roads.
It is not difficult to do railway exhibitions interesting.There should be a lot of funny things: train and car models,that were in use long time ago, different amusing items like signal lanterns, uniform caps, various suitcases and travelling bags. Some years ago old train cars were just put in the down-town, in the region of Elyseisky fields and there was a queue  of people who were eager to get into this train.
For more serious people it would be possible to offer ,for example, the history of enrichment of Russian "railway kings the century before last".   For instance, Pavel Grigorievich fon Derviz and Carl Fedorovich fon Meck made up a fortune on building Ryazano-Kozlovskaya railway.According to estimate, the building of one verst ( = 3500 ft. ) cost 62 000 rubles but in reality it cost about 40 000 rubles. This is just one of the fragments of business-history of Russian railroad transport. But the authors of this exhibition prefered not to rummage such interesting facts - they just wanted to view all achievements in this field beginning from a steam-engine belonging to brothers Cherepanovs till our days and to recreate the atmosphere of the railway station.
The amount of exhibits by the way do not coincide with the amount of visitors. Although everything excited is present at this exhibition: train models, overalls, historic facts in pictures. So it's one thing to describe and another one is to see. You are welcome at railway exhibitions!
