Elbrus is Leading in the Contest of Seven Wonders of Russia

Elbrus is leading in the contest of Seven wonders of Russia according to the preliminary results.
There was announced a list of 14 candidates, which were chosen by voting.
The first place is taken by Elbrus (250 thousand votes), the highest peak of Russia and Europe. The number of finalists was enriched by a castle-fortress “Vovnushki” in Ingushetia, the statue “Rodina-mother” in Volgograd, cathedral of Vasiliy Blazheniy in Moscow, two Kremlins – Tobolsky and Nizhegorodsky, the column of  weathering in Komi, natural reserve “Stolbi” in Krasnoyarsk, Baikal lake, Novosibirsky Zoo, Kungurskaya ice cave and others.
