Russian Railroads switched to Summer Schedule

On 25th of May Summer Schedule of Russian Railroads was introduced for 2008-2009.
During the working-up of a new schedule much attention was given to the convenience of passengers. So, all in all there were compiled more then 1 thousand 330 consists. The containment of movement is drawn to the plan and it comprises 841 couple of trains per day in 615 different directions. However 132 trains are functioning with the railway administrations from CIS. In 12 directions the service of trains will be joined – both from Russia and from CIS.
In the boundaries of Russia the speed of movement will be heightened for all categories of trains.

One more step in optimization of the schedule is the increase of  train consists on sites with the limited throughput. For realization of this problem the formation and the miss of 27 passenger trains consisting of  22 cars is stipulated for Adler.

There were rejected 45 unpopular trains and 18 trains were drawn to the most popular directions.
The route of 25 passenger trains was changes as well.
